Hollywood Elites Magazine:<\/strong> Adrienne, thank you for joining us. What first inspired you to start Flower Powered Products, LLC?<\/p>\n

Adrienne Ferguson:<\/strong> Thank you for having me. In 2021, like many women navigating both the pandemic and menopause, I was overwhelmed\u2014anxious, sleepless, and seeking a solution. A friend recommended CBD, but smoking it wasn\u2019t an option I was interested in. So I started researching alternatives and brewed my first cup of CBD tea. That one simple remedy helped me sleep for the first time in weeks. From there, I began experimenting with CBD-infused lemonades, juices, and even cooking ingredients like olive oil and butter. Soon, friends and family were asking for my creations\u2014and that\u2019s how our family-run business was born. Even my 92-year-old grandmother is a fan!<\/p>\n

HEM:<\/strong> That\u2019s such a personal and heartfelt origin story. What were some of the biggest challenges you faced in building a family-run business?<\/p>\n

Adrienne:<\/strong> Family businesses are incredibly fulfilling, but they come with unique challenges. You can\u2019t always approach things like you would with a regular employee. Emotions can run high, and disagreements happen. But what grounds us is love and support. I\u2019ve learned to rely on facts and research when making decisions\u2014not emotion\u2014and that has helped us overcome a lot.<\/p>\n

HEM:<\/strong> What are the top three lessons you\u2019ve learned as an entrepreneur?<\/p>\n

Adrienne:<\/strong> First, always stay focused on your end goal, not the distractions along the way. Second, have a plan\u2014but be flexible enough to pivot when things don\u2019t go as expected. And third, everything will cost more than you think, so always be financially prepared.<\/p>\n

HEM:<\/strong> What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs just starting out?<\/p>\n

Adrienne:<\/strong> Don\u2019t try to do it all alone. Build a team that complements your strengths. Learn to take criticism constructively, and never let someone else\u2019s doubt define your reality. Prove them wrong\u2014and succeed anyway.<\/p>\n

HEM:<\/strong> Let\u2019s talk about your future vision. Where do you see Flower Powered Products in five years?<\/p>\n

Adrienne:<\/strong> We\u2019re currently working toward earning our Veteran-Owned certification, in addition to being Woman- and Minority-Owned. That will allow us to offer our products to VA hospitals and hospices. We\u2019re also passionate about creating job opportunities for underrepresented communities, including the formerly incarcerated. We want to continue building a brand that gives back.<\/p>\n

HEM:<\/strong> That mission is inspiring. How do you personally stay grounded while juggling business and life?<\/p>\n

Adrienne:<\/strong> I make time for what feeds my soul\u2014travel, family, and quiet moments of gratitude. It\u2019s important to step away from work and actually enjoy the life you\u2019re building.<\/p>\n

HEM:<\/strong> And when things get tough, what keeps you going?<\/p>\n

Adrienne:<\/strong> Honestly, it\u2019s hearing from people I\u2019ve inspired\u2014whether they\u2019re going back to school, starting a business, or just taking a brave next step. I also surround myself with other motivated people who keep me focused and accountable.<\/p>\n

HEM:<\/strong> Before we close, is there anything exciting coming up that you\u2019d like our readers to know?<\/p>\n

Adrienne:<\/strong> Absolutely! We\u2019re launching subscription boxes in time for Black Friday and the holidays. They\u2019ll include customized CBD wellness products and an entirely new beauty line\u2014bath bombs, shea body butters, lip balms\u2014you name it. I can\u2019t wait to share these with our community.<\/p>\n
