LA India Fashion Week Celebrates a Decade of Style

Presented by Saffron Spot, the free Norwalk event brought together fashion labels, designers, models and community supporters to celebrate South Asian fashion and local businesses.

On Sunday, September 27, LA India Fashion Week celebrated its 10th anniversary at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Norwalk. Presented by Saffron Spot, the event welcomed guests from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a day devoted to fashion, creativity and the businesses helping shape the local style scene.

The anniversary celebration centered on a message printed on the event flyer: supporting local fashion businesses. Its program featured runway shows by Ammanis Couture, Classy Closet by Farah, Namaslay Collective, Rabab Couture and Rockabella Creations. Their collections shared the spotlight with a broad gathering of fashion and jewelry labels, including AariAmi Boutique, Aurea Jewels, Clumas Jewelry, Collective by Vara, Glowworm Creations, Harshi’s Haute Couture, Hirali Jaipur, Itna Drama by Saira, Jewels by Mala, Jumkey Club, Kalpana Handicraft Sarees, Kama Collections, Karmik Fashions, Kisneel by Pam, Maison Grover, Monika Mehta, SanahRita Jewelry, Shangya Shoes, The Indian Village, The Weave by Santasree and Vastra Fashions.

Together, the designers and participating brands reflected the range of businesses represented at the event—from couture and contemporary clothing to jewelry, shoes and traditional sarees. The runway offered a way to introduce those creative businesses to the public and celebrate the people behind them.

The flyer also recognized a network of sponsors and event partners. Among the names and organizations shown were State Bank of India (California), American Modeling Academy, BG Family Law, Mina Events, SoCal Channel as media partner, Andy Shah Photography, RRR Photography, Madrid Photography, Vinod Krishnan Photography, DutChak Photography, DHAMAKA Productions, Majestic by Mantra, Urban Punjab: The Royal Kitchen, RT Kitchen Indian Snacks & Catering, Popwhite, Ultimate Vineyards and the DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles–Norwalk, which hosted the event.

That community support helped frame the anniversary as more than a runway presentation: it was a gathering of fashion businesses, event professionals, media and local supporters. With free entry and a full day of programming, LA India Fashion Week invited the public to experience the creativity and variety of the participating designers and brands.
