Thailand Meets Hollywood” Creates New Opportunities for Global Film and Television Collaboration
On August 20, 2026, Hollywood Elites Magazine was honored to attend the Thai Entertainment Forum 2026, an important international gathering presented by Thai Trade LA at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles.
Presented under the theme “Where Thailand Meets Hollywood,” the forum brought together distinguished leaders from Thailand’s entertainment industry with Hollywood producers, studio representatives, investors, distributors, content buyers, streaming professionals and members of the entertainment media. A WELCOME FROM THAI TRADE LA
The program opened with welcome remarks from Mr. Niwat Hansawat, Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs in Los Angeles. His remarks established the forum’s central purpose: strengthening professional relationships between Thailand’s entertainment sector and the American film and television industry.
By bringing Thai production companies directly to Los Angeles, Thai Trade LA created opportunities for participants to move beyond general discussions and begin building practical business relationships. These conversations included co-production, content licensing, distribution, investment and international filming opportunities.
Mr. Sirisak Kosapasarin, Vice President of the Federation of National Film Associations, delivered the keynote address. His presentation offered valuable insight into Thailand’s entertainment landscape and its potential to participate more prominently in the global content market.

Guests experienced a selection of authentic Thai cuisine while continuing conversations in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The culinary program demonstrated that cultural exchange can take many forms. Film, television, fashion, music and food can all introduce audiences to the history, creativity and identity of a country.
